VICTOR DUECK October 24, 1925 - September 4, 2016 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Dueck, husband, father grandfather, and great-grandfather. The last three months were spent at Grace Hospital under the care of a wonderful and compassionate staff. Victor was born in Winnipeg and grew up on a farm in Oakbluff, MB. He married Mary Wiebe in 1950. After farming for five years on a rental farm in Oakbluff, they purchased land from his father-in-law at Starbuck, and built a successful poultry farm. In 1975 due to health problems he sold the farm and started a real estate career which he loved. He retired in 2008. He was baptized in 1946 and became a lifetime member of the Springstein Mennonite Church, where he served on the church council, as well as church chairman, and choir director. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary, their children, Vicki (Ron) Friesen, Ken Dueck, Doreen Loewen, and Tim (Christina) Dueck, six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and sister Hilda Dick. He was predeceased by his parents Gerhardt and Maria Dueck, sister Erica Heinrichs, brothers-in-law Harry Braun, Bill Heinrichs, and Edgar Dick. Funeral service will be held at the Springstein Mennonite Church in Springstein, MB on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Private family viewing at the church and interment prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Victor may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation. Rest in peace, Psalm 23 The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want. The family.
