LAURA and NORMAN KLIPPENSTEIN It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Laura and Norman Klippenstein of Oak Point, MB. Laura and Norm will be greatly missed by the many family and friends they have. They both made friends wherever they went, and were beloved members of many communities. They shared 52 amazing years together, and will continue their next journey together as well. Laura was well known for her amazing crafting skills and sewing abilities. Many people have their pants on thanks to her. Norm could make a friend anywhere and start a conversation about anything. A skill that made them late more than a few times. They will be greatly missed by their son Korey; daughter-in-law Stacey; and beloved granddaughter Katrina; sister Florence and brother-in-law Mike Lamb; sister May Burdett with Ron Klippenstein; and brother, Bert Burdett and sister-in-law Shannon Greer, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. A celebration of Laura and Norm's lives will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Hitchn Post, located on Hwy. 6. Please wear happy colors and bring great memories to share. We ask that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Brant-Argyle School, Argyle, MB in their names. Dear Korey, Stacey and family, our hearts are truly saddened by your loss. Your Mom and Dad were special people, It has been awhile since we had visited or been in touch but I remember them with fond memories and many laughs and happy tears, they were always there for me when I lived in Winnipeg. Good ole Alfred Avenue :-) They were not just my family they were my friends! The one thing I can tell you Korey is that they both loved you so much as I watched you grow up!! You were without a doubt their pride and joy, I know that as you grew up and now with a family of your own that their love and pride could have only grown leaps and bounds for you!! and your family. You had great parents, and you were their gift!! Our Mother spoke highly about your Dad and with much laughter, she said he was the one who taught her how to drive and how funny he had been. Your Dad often helped our Dad with the heating company many a times when it was busy and I know that our Dad really appreciated everything your Dad did for him and with him. Your parents will be truly missed by many, may their legacy and memories live on in your hearts forever! I am very sorry for your loss. Both of them always had a big smile. I would meet Norman at the post office boxes and had stories to tell.Laura was fantastic person to know. She could sew anything. She did not like hemming my pants due to the lining in them. Told me to find another brand of pants to buy. They both were great people to know. They will be dearly missed. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Julie-Ann Backman (Friends) on: Sep 10, 2016

Norman was my older cousin who took me on my first motorcycle ride; who had that deep loud laugh; who would 'restle with his uncles and brothers; who would come with his family (Auntie Tina and Uncle Bernie) to our Dyck family get togethers at Crescent Drive park and eat our picnic lunches and play baseball. He was always "turning around" and told great stories. Norman and Laura were good and decent people who seemed to have lived a good life. Although we lost touch, our parents rest beside each other at Green Acres. Our deepest condolences to their son and his family. It is so fitting that they moved on together. May they rest in peace. Much love, Cousin Deb, Chris and family. - Posted by: Deborah Dyck (Cousin on Norman's mother's side) on: Sep 09, 2016

Our sincere condolences to you and your family. We were in shock to hear the news of Norman and Laura's tragic passing. I recall years ago as youngsters how crazy Norman and our Dad and their siblings were. Always joking, wrestling and laughing. Enjoyable memories. I am sad to hear of their passing but happy to hear their life together was spent with enjoyable and happy times with family and friends. Our love and prayers to all. - Posted by: Brenda & Glenn Sanderson & family (cousin) on: Sep 09, 2016

To Korey, Stacey and Katrina, Florence & Mike & family, May and Ron, Bert and Shannon and family, please accept my deepest condolences on the sudden passing of your parents and siblings. I had known Laura and Norm for a very long time through Flo. They were warm and welcoming people, Norm always teasing me about my shortness even going as far as getting on his knees so he wasn't so much taller than me and laughing about it, Laura treated me more like a younger sister. I did not see them very often but I will miss them dearly. - Posted by: Nancy Pawlyk (Friend of the Burdett family) on: Sep 08, 2016
