JOHN FOROSTIAK John Forostiak passed away peacefully at Tuxedo Villa on August 10, 2016 at the age of 94 years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Esther in 2000 as well as all of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his nephew Larry Frostiak (Jayne) his nieces Jane Redpath (Vern), Nancy Frostiak and his sister-in-law Jennie Frostiak. John was a carpenter at Winnipeg Hydro for many years. He thoroughly enjoyed listening to music, especially jazz. He was involved with the Winnipeg Jazz Society for many years. John spent many Saturday afternoons at the "Pemby" sharing great music, friendship and a frosty pint. John and Esther loved to dance. Fishing, swimming, and shooting pool were also some of John's pastimes. John and Esther enjoyed trips to Scotland, New Zealand and Banff, fishing at Lake Minnewanka. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at the Tuxedo Villa for their compassionate care of John these past few months. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Meet at the funeral home in the centre of the property.
