She was predeceased by her father Joseph Grabowski. She is survived by her husband Larry and her adored children Megan and Daniel, her mother Louise, her brothers Allan (Winnie), Robert (Lisa), along with their children Zoe and Nikolas, and her brother Thom (Robin). Many thanks to the Fire and Paramedic Service and all at St Boniface Hospital Cardiac Unit for their efforts and compassion. We'll always remember the beautiful lady that you were Kathy! No more meticulous cross stitch pieces that you passionately crafted, lovely music emanating from the piano, delicious sometimes 'sugar free' baking, the gastronomic delights that you created such as: "ants on a log", "fly cookies", that you feed the children. We'll fondly recall the countless ditties that you sang to describe oh say, "bad drivers", etc. (my personal favourite). You were such a talent and so self-effacing! Your family was paramount, there was no doubt how important they were to you. Happy that we got to share but a brief time together. I will miss the conversations that we had over tea and baking. Although you never espoused to be a gardener you shared the flowers that you grew...the irises that you gave me are gone for the season but in the spring we'll see them again...till then dear friend... - Posted by: Cheryl, Lynn, Kevin & Lindsey (Friend) on: Oct 08, 2016

My deepest condolences to the Rea family. Kathy was such a positive & warm hearted person who always had a kind word or wonderful story to share. We had many conversations about her recent travels & how proud she was of her children. She will be missed. - Posted by: Heather Lessard (Co-worker) on: Sep 10, 2016

what a shock--- the world will be a much sadder place without her kindness and loving disposition. I worked with her for many years until my retirement but still kept in touch------she was generous to a fault and would go out of her way to help you in any way that she could---- her greatest joy were her children---- she lived to see them happy------------y deepest sympathies go out to her soul-mate Larry-----remember all the good and happy times you had together and hopefully that will get you through this trying time.In her memory I am putting her name forth to be entered in our prayer circle-----we have a circle of 12 around the world----it helped our family in a time of need 2 years ago and I am sure it will help yours - Posted by: Joan Leonard (co-worker) on: Sep 10, 2016
