Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDIANA LYNN ALLAN Unexpectedly after a brief illness, on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Diana Allan, aged 68 years, of Selkirk, MB, passed away. Diana will be greatly missed by Rick, her loving husband of 47 years, children, Tracy (Bobby) Sinclair and Jim (Andrea) Allan, grandsons, Nathan, Jordan and Jeffrey Sinclair. She will also be missed by her sister Cheryl (Brian), brothers-in-law David (Florentina), Don (Susan) and her sister-in-law Maureen (Doug) and numerous nieces and nephews. Diana was predeceased by her parents Jim and Ida Brier and her in-laws Dave and Val Allan. Diana was born September 24, 1947 in Winnipeg. She married Rick on December 20, 1969 and began her married life in Selkirk. In 1972 Diana and Rick moved into their new home in Winnipeg which would become the place in which they raised their children. They moved within Winnipeg once more in 1994 and then moved back to Selkirk in 2012. Diana began her career at MTS, where she worked until she had children. She returned to work as a Paraprofessional in Seven Oaks School Division in 1982. Diana retired in 2007, and spent many extended long weekends at the cottage in Auglen Park. She also enjoyed winter vacations in Arizona where she made many new friends. Diana dearly loved her three grandsons and was especially proud to be called Amma. In lieu of flowers, donations in Diana's memory can be made to the Lutheran Church Cemetery, or a charity of one's choice. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Selkirk with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Rick we are very saddened to learn of Diana,s passing. Diana and I met at kindgarten, took baton together, and found each other again when we both moved to the Maples and stayed friends thereafter.
