MARGARET ANN KLIMCHUK (nee KOWALCHUK) January 10, 1941 - September 8, 2016 In loving memory It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Margaret Klimchuk, on Thursday, September 8, at 5:45 p.m., at the Concordia Hospital. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Dan, of 57 years; son Terry (Michelle) of Surrey, BC; brothers John (Sheila), and Edward (Vera); sister Dorothy (Ed); sisters-in-law Joan and Sandra, plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Ann and Karl; and brothers Robert, Jimmy and Gerald. Margaret was born in Teulon, Manitoba and at an early age, moved with her family to Selkirk, Manitoba. She married Dan on May 16, 1959, and less than a year later at age 19, gave birth to her only son Terry. Margaret loved to cook for family gatherings, especially at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. She also loved to decorate the house at Halloween and Christmas. She loved all animals, but was especially fond of cats. Through the years she enjoyed fishing, doing arts and crafts, crossword puzzles, watching her son play hockey and going to the casino. She was always warm and friendly to everyone she would meet. She was always there when you needed her. Margaret worked as a nurse's aide at St. Amant Centre, St. Boniface Nursing Home and later spent over 40 years caring for the elderly at the Bethania nursing home. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be deeply missed by all. Cremation has taken place, and celebration of Margaret's life will be announced at a later date.
