CAROLE ANN ADELE MARCECA (nee GRECO) October 14, 1941 - September 13, 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of an amazing wife, mother and Nanny on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at home in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 74 years. She passed away as she wished, at home peacefully in her sleep, after a lengthy and courageous battle with heart and kidney disease. Left to cherish Carole's memory are her husband, John; children, Bryan (Dawn) Marceca and Kim (Brian) Nott; as well as the brightest lights of her life, grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Danielle, Christopher and Jessica; sister, Gail (Denis) Lillee; brother-in-law, Don Veri; along with a niece and several nephews all of Stoney Creek, Ontario. Carole was predeceased by her mother and father Adele and Charlie Greco; and her sister Louise Veri. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Carole worked as a legal secretary until her mother became ill. She then stayed home to care for her. The pride of her life was her family. Nanny had a special relationship with all four of her grandchildren and would do anything for them. The highlight of her day was when she saw her children and grandchildren. Throughout the many obstacles Carole faced with her health problems, her main focus was on the well-being of her family. She faced each challenge with determination and fought to be with her family, until she could not fight any longer. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue, Winnipeg. We would like to thank Carole's guardian angel as she called him, Dr. Ramin Hamedani, all the home care workers, and the Renal Department at HSC, for all your care and compassion.
