JENNIFER PATRICIA WIEBE (née WERTH) Jennifer Patricia Wiebe (née Werth) passed away peacefully on September 16, 2016 at Concordia Hospital, surrounded by family. Jennifer was born in Regina, SK on January 5, 1951 and moved to Winnipeg when she was six years old. She leaves to mourn her dear mother (Nellie), loving husband, cherished children and precious granddaughter, as well as Christopher's godmother Susan; Amber's godmother Heather; and brothers, James Werth (Kathy), of Okotoks, AB and Glenn Werth (Lee), of Calgary, AB. Jennifer was predeceased by her father Philip Werth and sister Paulette Sinkinson. Jennifer adored and was so proud of her beloved and devoted husband Lyle, of 45 years, her son Christopher and her daughter Amber. Both of her children have found their places in the universe, Christopher as a Professor at the University of Winnipeg and Amber at The Manitoba Children's Museum. Lyle and Jennifer put their retirement on hold for six years to care for their beautiful granddaughter Katelyn, who brought so much joy and happiness into their lives. Nana and Papa would not have changed a moment of time for all their cherished, wonderful memories of her. Jennifer loved God and spiritual conversations. There was nothing better to her than a good cup of coffee and gazebo nights, illuminated by dozens of candles. She believed chocolate solved world problems. She collected pottery, Christmas decorations and snow globes. Sunflowers brought her happiness. Dancing made her sing. She loved shoes, bags, purses, hats, long dresses, Christmas and cuddling with her puppy Charlie Brown. Sunday brunches and spa afternoons with family and friends were her favourite. Her passion was storytelling, writing and working with children, as well as championing, volunteering in the community and decorating. Just imagine her organizing the next heavenly event... She adored the Winnipeg Folk Festival and visits to the Forks. Nicknamed Jinxie in school, she loved her River East Transcona School Division family, her firefighter family, the infamous Wieners and Beans gang, the New York girls and the Gimli gals, as well as the Fluster Cluck Four and the Prairie Pearls. She will dearly miss her sisters by heart; you know who you are... Once diagnosed, in her own quiet way, Jennifer soldiered on in solitude, but soon realized there was an army of support behind her. At times she felt undeserving of their love... Jennifer lived a privileged, peaceful life filled with kindness and gratitude, and was thankful for every blessing. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road, inside the Perimeter. Rev. Brad Elliott and Rev. Helen Kennedy officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Susan, Heather, Sue, Gisele, Bev, Janis, Chris, Linda, Sheila, Colleen, Janice and Deb. Special thanks to Dr. P. Harris and her compassionate, loving staff at Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gifts of Grace Mission, in care of St. Saviour's Anglican Church, 690 Munroe Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2K 1T2. - And God cried first - GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery (204) 222-3241 Condolences may be sent to www.greenacresfuneralhome.com
