ROY ORMISTON Peacefully on September 22, 2016 surrounded by family at Golden Links Lodge at the age of 96 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Roy (Lorraine); granddaughter Karen Heilmann (Michael); great grandchildren Ashley and Adam; his sister Doreen Finegan and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Alma; his parents Douglas and Ellen; his brother Murray and sister Isabel Law. He served in the Second World War as a Sargent in the 12th Manitoba Dragoons. In his younger years he was active in Junior Baseball and Hockey. Roy spent many years snowmobiling, fishing and boating. During his career as a footwear sales representative he established many friendships amongst his customers travelling in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
