He passed away at Riverview Health Centre on Friday, September 23, 2016 in the early morning hours. He was predeceased by his parents Rita and Peter, his in-laws Hans and Gertrude Rasmussen, and many family members. He is survived by the person who will love him forever - his wife Dianne. He will also be missed by his Shetland sheepdogs. Surviving him as well is his brother-in-law Ken (Joanne), his sisters-in-law Diana and Nancy, his cousins and their families, his much loved nephews and their families - Justin (Renee), Jason (Leanne and Anika), Benett (Tara, Maëlle and Kai), Myles (Crystal, Edwin and Hayleigh), Mark (Sabrina, Seattle-Anne and Cam), and his niece, Kisha and her family. His loss is also mourned by Debbie Johnson, a cousin who became his "adopted" daughter. Paul was born in Winnipeg on April 11, 1953. Raised in St. Vital, he graduated from St. Boniface Diocesan High School in 1972. He married Dianne on September 30, 1978. St. Vital was their home through the years.
