JAMES (JIM) ALEXANDER GOSSELIN On Friday, September 23, 2016, James Alexander Gosselin, beloved husband of Annie Bella, passed away at the Deer Lodge Health Centre, with family at his side. He was 95 years old. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Julian Gosselin and Rose Helen Beaudoin; brother Emile (Alma); sisters, Beatrice (Richard) Barker, Hazel (George) Winters and Eva (Lawrence) Henderson; sons-in-law, Lloyd Martin and Jerry Potts; three grandchildren, Michael Andre Gosselin, Parker James McKenzie Gosselin and Steven Romaine Jean; niece Blanche Martin and nephew Bernard Winters. He is also survived by his brother Rennie (Ilene); daughters, Carolyn (Ian) Roberts, Annette Martin, Mary Potts, Mabel (Charles) Vermeylen, Rhonda (Jay) Thompson; son Garry, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim served in the Second World War. After the war, he returned to farming and in 1946, he married his wife Bella and continued to farm until the late 1960s. Jim then moved his family to Winnipeg and started his career working at the Deer Lodge Hospital. After 25 years of service, Jim retired and moved to Stony Mountain, where he and Bella spent many wonderful years together. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Paul the Apostle, 2400 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Eric Giddins presiding. Viewing at the church one hour prior to service. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue in the Good Shepherd Garden. The family gratefully thanks all staff on T5 and doctors of Deer Lodge for the wonderful care given while Dad was a resident.
