Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUBY EVELYN GOTTFRIED After a short but hard fought battle with cancer, Mom passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the age of 82 years. Mom was predeceased by her husband and our father, Frank, in 2014. She is survived by her daughters: Jane (Trevor) Kusmack, Nicole (Gil) Roth; and sons: Randy, Darrell (Di Di), Jody (Kelly) and Dale (Cheryl) Gagnon; 12 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters: Winnie Anderson, Marjorie Thompson; and brother Vernie (Marion) Curle. Mom enjoyed trying out new recipes, playing cards and beating people at Scrabble. She enjoyed all sorts of crafts. She also enjoyed the many committees she was involved with. To Mom, family was everything. She was the heart, soul, rock and glue. A Come and Go Tea will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Rivers Branch #375, 622 - 2 Avenue, Rivers, on Saturday, October 1, 2016, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. At Mom's request, there will be a private graveside service. The family would like to thank Dr. Anita Vermaak for the wonderful and compassionate care you gave to our Mom over the years. In lieu of flowers, please donate to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room 0N160, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0V9 or Riverdale Health Centre Palliative Care, Box 428, Rivers, Manitoba, R0K 1X0.
