FLORENCE M. LAMONT (nee EMETT) Peacefully, at Golden Links Lodge, Peggy passed away Saturday afternoon, September 10, 2016, at the age of 96. She is survived by her sons, Lloyd (Glad) and Thom (Linda) and daughter Pat Adamson (Bob). She was very proud of her six grandchildren, Mark, Neil, Jennifer, George, Matt and Katie, and delighted in getting to visit with her eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Delta Spratt (Bob), as well as her nieces and nephew, who were very special to her and visited her often in the past years. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Bill, her brother Bill and his wife Doris. Mom was born in Vancouver and moved to Winnipeg as a young girl with her family. She graduated from Gordon Bell High School and worked at Eaton's. Upon marrying Bill, they made their home in St. James. Mom went back to school and became a teacher both at St. James Collegiate and Red River College. Mom and Dad loved to entertain family and friends and travel. They spent their retirement years in Lester Beach and wintered in Florida. Mom continued to travel and spend time with family and friends after Dad's passing. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family gathering at a later date. The family would like to thank all the staff at Golden Links Lodge for the past year of compassionate care they gave Mom.
