ANNE SIM (nee SOZANSKY) On Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the age of 92, Anne Sim passed away peacefully at the Saint Boniface General Hospital. The daughter of Ukrainian immigrants, Anne was born in East Selkirk, Manitoba. Upon graduation from high school, she received an Isbister Scholarship which enabled her to attend United College. She graduated with a B.A. and a Diploma in Education from the University of Manitoba and taught at Melita High School, Selkirk Secondary School and Technical Vocational High School in Winnipeg. In 1953, she married fellow high school teacher George Sim. Anne retired from full-time teaching to raise her family. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Anne was predeceased by her brothers, Eric and Val, husband George, son Colin and sister Natalie. She is survived by her son Peter, daughter Catherine, daughter-in-law Judy Brown and grandson Kevin.
