AMELIA KYNMAN On October 1, 2016, Amelia Kynman took her final journey at the age of 92. A world traveller, Amelia began her lifelong love affair with travel in 1950. Together with friend, Nancy Halford, she was one of the first women to hitchhike unescorted across Europe. In the decades to follow, Amelia would continue to tour visiting numerous countries including China, Tibet, Mexico and her birthplace in Poland. She is survived by sons, Tom and George Kynman and her three grandchildren, Talbot, Zelda and Ellice Kynman. A private memorial will be held by her family at a later date. As per her wishes, Amelia was laid to rest with her late husband, George Herbert (Bert) Kynman at St. Clements Anglican Church Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
