I did not see this obituary until the other day. Sorry. We left Winnipeg for Toronto when I was 14 (1957) so I have been gone a while. Dad would take us on trips to see our family members in the Winnipeg area. While being mildly terrorized by Uncle Ad, Auntie Marge was a safe haven and seemed to manage the chaos. The last few years I would telephone her to see how things were going. She was always joyful. She was current on Canadian and US politics and events. I know her life had become a lot harder and more limiting with her failing eyesight, but she didn't complain. She always had a kind word to say about everybody and was interested in our family. I really enjoyed our talks. She my last link to the prior generation. I will miss her. - Posted by: Murray Merner (Nefew) on: Nov 03, 2016

I just wanted to write a short note to offer my sincere condolences to all my cousins and their families with the loss of sweet, sweet Auntie Marj. I was sad that I wasn't able to make it to the funeral this week and express my condolences in person, as I was ill. I was able to visit with Auntie Marj a few weeks ago, and as ill as she was, she was still the most sweet and wonderful, caring lady we will always remember. We were blessed to have her in our lives. Love and hugs to you all xoxo Wendy Dunlop - Posted by: Wendy Dunlop (Niece ) on: Oct 09, 2016

Auntie Marj was married to my Mom Inez Dunlop's brother Uncle Ad.She always had a smile and was a favorite to everyone. She went through a lot of heartbreak in her life time but was always positive. I didn't see her much after moving to Calgary but seeing her pictures on facebook she was certainly surrounded by Love. Auntie Marj was the last of my generations Aunts and Uncles. We are all very saddened with her passing. She was a lovely lady. To all the family please accept my sincere condolences.. Gail Dunlop - Posted by: gail dunlop (Niece) on: Oct 06, 2016

I will remember our drives to Lockport for onion rings, root beer and having our talks while we were driving. Mia will miss her grandma! Our rides to different roads when we missed a turn were funny. lol, Love you! We will have our laughs and talks again in the next journey. My love for you will be forever! You always told me to open a gift shop and when I do, it will be called "Marjorie's Memorable Gifts". This is not good-bye, see you later! My sincere sympathy to Marj's family. My name is Lori Prokopchuk and my mother Rina Romeo was a resident at Concordia Place. My mom shared a dining table with Marj and I had the privilege of sharing many stories and meals with them. I especially enjoyed talking to Marj about the Jets, Bombers and the Federal election. I loved her sense of humour and her enthusiasm. I was so touched by their genuine concern about each other's health and the friendship they shared during their time at Concordia Place. I truly believe that the 4th floor is missing two very special angels. I will always have a very special place in my heart for you Marj. Rest in peace - Posted by: Lori Prokopchuk (Friend) on: Oct 04, 2016
