BRIAN CURTIS WATSON 1951 - 2016 With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Brian Curtis Watson on October 3, 2016; an amazing man, husband, father and friend who made an impression on all who crossed his path. Brian dedicated himself to his family, friends and the fire department. Brian lived a fulfilling life through his love of music, travel, list-making and still found the time and energy to build homes, cottages and tiki bars for us all to enjoy. He was thankful to have realized his dream of spending winters in Florida on land and by sea on his beloved sailboat, Doodlebug. All were always welcome to share in his passions. Brian is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy (Swidinsky); his children, Leah Richardson, Christy Parker (Glenn), Jason and their mother Wendy Bradley (Andrews), as well as his adoring grandkids, Jalen, Mia, Joel and Jordyn. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Grove and brother, Ross; parents-in-law, Tony and Mary Swidinsky, and brother-in-law Rick (Carrielynn). Brian was predeceased by his parents, David and Margaret Watson (Downey), and his brothers, Dave and Jim. Please join in the celebration of Brian's life at Soul Sanctuary, 2050 Chevrier Boulevard on Tuesday, October 11 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted by: The Firefighters Burn Fund, 83 Garry St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4J9. • Having met Brian and Kathy through my working pal, Lee Major ..(and how he and Brian met is a story in itself)..I was accepted into Brian and Kathy's lives as though I had always been there..His great, hearty nature..knowledge of music and his imitation of George Burns' comedy, made every visit a delight....One of my saddest moments ever was dropping in to see him on the Monday of his passing...on his jolly " c'mon up " invitation...Only to learn I was a few hours too late...But the memories will stay...Warmest thoughts to Cathy... - Posted by: Don Percy (Fortunate friend) on: Oct 15, 2016
