  • During my practicum at Grace Hospital, I had the opportunity to have a few short chats with Margaret. She asked me once what I was doing for the summer as it was just around the corner. I told her that my boyfriend (from Australia) was coming to visit and we were heading to New York for 1 week. She was so happy for me and I remember her daughter coming in, and Margaret always chatting with another patient. Such a happy lady. My practicum ended and I was officially done schooling. I came back a week later as I had forgotten my lunch box on the ward. Margaret instantly recognized me and we sat there chatting for about an hour. Ever since then, probably around the 2013 mark I've thought about Margaret and the stories we shared. Larry and Margaret are back together once again. I offer my sincere condolences to the family. - Posted by: Selena (Student Reception at Grace Hospital) on: Apr 21, 2017

  • Hello to the children and grandchildren of Dodie Lemonson, This greeting comes from the three surviving grandchildren of Bob and Phoebe Brown. Agnes Rimmer, Saskatoon; Marlene Hartle, Campbell River and Ross Doherty, Saskatoon. We all have memories from Killarney, where we first met Dodie. That was her nickname through out our lives, given to her by her parents. Agnes and Ross first met her in 1935 in Killarney. Marlene who is the youngest of the grandchildren met Dodie in Winnipeg many times. Over the years we would meet when one or the others would be traveling through Winnipeg or Killarney. Then in 1996 we had our first Brown/Ireland reunion in Killarney. At that time we met Larry and Dodie; Bill and Bernie; Alex and Yvonne Hall. Larry and Dodie, Alex and Yvonne came to many more reunions. There was meetings in Winnipeg after gatherings in Killarney, when Larry could no longer drive. Getting to know each other as adults was great. There was exchanging information for the families genealogy records. Unfortunately we only met with Bill and Bernie. We never met any of Dodie’s other children. Larry and Dodie had a good life together. Now they are together once more. On behalf of Agnes and Marlene, may I offer our sincere condolences to the families of Dodie Lemonson. Ross Doherty - Posted by: Ross Doherty (First Cousin) on: Oct 08, 2016
