JACOB (JAKE) REMPEL Jake Rempel, 75 of Carman, formerly of Elm Creek, went to be with Jesus Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Carman Memorial Hospital. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Elizabeth, two sisters, Betty Bergen (George), Rita Rempel, brother-in-law Nyle Martin and nieces and nephews and many Friesen relatives. He was predeceased by his parents Cornelius and Susanna Rempel, two sisters, Susie Rempel and Erna Martin and one nephew Lorne Bergen. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Elm Creek, MB Church with Pastor Bob Pauls and Pastor Karen Schellenberg officiating. Private interment will take place in the Elm Creek Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to Boundary Trails CancerCare, Box 2000, Station Main, Winkler, MB R6W 1H8 or to Katie Cares, 255 13th Street, Winkler, MB R6W 1S5.
