CINDY AISMAN Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Monday, October 10, 2016 at her residence, in Selkirk MB, Cindy Aisman, aged 56 years, passed away. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, William; her two children Jodie (Kyle) Townsend, and Riley (Kayla) Aisman; mother Marie Buziak; brothers Jeff and Jerry Buziak; sister Sherry (Nicholas) Mulcahy; sister-in-law Judith Craig; along with many nieces and nephews, Scott (Crystal), Pam (Steve), Christina (Jason), Cari, Sara, Brandy and Garet. She also leaves behind her work family and friends too numerous to mention. She was predeceased by her father Albert Buziak; niece Lindsay Buziak; mother-in-law Joy Aisman; father-in-law James Aisman, and brother-in-law Paul Craig. Cindy was born in North Battleford, SK on June 1, 1960. She attended grades K to 6 there before moving to Maple Creek, SK. She loved the Cypress Hills close to Maple Creek and attended many rodeos and ropings there. The family moved to Selkirk, MB in 1975 and she graduated from Lord Selkirk High School in 1978. She furthered her education at the University of Winnipeg, and held careers at MTS and Service Canada, where she made many long lasting friendships. Cindy married the love of her life in 1984 and they settled in Selkirk raising their family. Cindy was very proud of her children and their accomplishments. She poured her heart and soul into giving her daughter a perfect wedding. She had a love for animals and leaves behind her three special children, Gibson, Samantha and Lucy. Cindy was always one to lend a hand and never wanted any recognition for her kind-heartedness. Family was very important to her and she always looked forward to spending time with her friends. She was strong and was determined to win the fight against cancer right up until the end. She had a positive attitude and believed anything was possible if you just "believe". A funeral service honouring Cindy's life will take place at Selkirk United Church on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Cindy to the new Selkirk Hospital CancerCare Unit or to the Selkirk PEO Chapter P. Cindy was a very good friend; even though we work virtually from Ottawa, we were able to maintain a very nice relationship with her. She was always nice to everybody, interested on doing everything very well and her attitude was the greatest, always positive. We are all going to miss her very much. We want to send to all her family you our deepest condolences and one thing to remember is that we will again. God is always with us and he will make this happen. Lots of love - Posted by: Maruka and MICA team (Work friend) on: Oct 26, 2016

I enjoyed our times together, having a bubbly or two at the Ops parties after work. Or going for a pool party at her house and a sleep over or two. Miss Ya...........see ya on the other side Cindy. - Posted by: June Smyth (work friend) on: Oct 14, 2016

I have known / worked with Cindy since 2009 when I joined my current department. She was a unique character and had a great personality and despite us living on opposite sides of the country we became friends through a mutual interest in hockey. I had never known such a rabid red wings fan, sad that she never got a chance to go see them at the Joe like we had discussed. I always appreciated Cindy's frank and honest advice she would give me whether it was work related or about a personal issue. I will never forget my friend and will sorely miss our talks we had over the years. Please accept my condolences for your loss. Rest in Peace my friend - Posted by: Cory emerson (Belleville work colleague/ Friend) on: Oct 14, 2016

If you had the great fortune to ever meet Cindy, she was like a box of chocolate, you never knew what you were going to get. Speaking for myself personally, a better friend - you couldn't ask for. She would make us laugh and be a good ear when we had problems, provide us with her great cooking and treats. Not a birthday or holiday would pass by without her bestowing us with her treats and other goodies. Cindy will be cheering for her Detroit Red Wings, along with Gordie Howe (another Saskatchewanite) who passed away this year. And Cody will keep you company and tell you all about us. You can compare notes with him. Your presence will be missed. We will cherish the memories. Your friend Marleen - Posted by: Marleen Allard-Serediuk (Co-worker & friend) on: Oct 13, 2016

I met Cindy in 1981 while working for MTS. Cindy quickly became a leader, mentor, and trusted friend in our work environment. She was a quick study and enjoyed solving problems with her unique take on things. On a personal note...she was so very compassionate to all her friends. In 1986, she showed her love and caring for me and my family, in a way only Cindy could do ! We had lost our son and in a winter storm, on the day of the funeral, she drove out to my house with a fully cooked turkey to help feed all my family members. In my time of need.. she was there...I will never forget her kindness. Cindy, you are in the arms of the angels. My sincere condolences to Nick and family. - Posted by: Louise Long (work friend from MTS) on: Oct 13, 2016

We all make friendships through the years...some last, and some fade with time. But, if you're real lucky, you find a true "friend of the heart". I was lucky. I found you. - Linda Lee Elrod. Rest in peace my dear friend, You will be so missed. - Posted by: Rosey (Friend) on: Oct 13, 2016

Sad to hear about this. Very sad. Cindy's genuine love of food, people, and making people feel special was one of a kind. My family's prayers and thoughts go to you and your family. She is looking down smiling at us eating Helluva dip in a Red Wings jersey I am sure. Take good care. Signed Proud Cindy fan - Posted by: Kevin Lagacé () on: Oct 12, 2016

I have known / worked with Cindy for more than 15 years. She was always so unique in character and personality. She could put a whole new spin on any situation that arose when you had a problem with work or personal. She was truly a free spirited and honest individual who touched the lives of those who knew her. She will never be forgotten but sorely missed. Please accept my condolences for your loss. - Posted by: Herb Hayda (co-worker/ friend) on: Oct 12, 2016

No words can say all that Cindy was - I'll use some of her own... The important things in my life I learned from my dog - when loved ones come home, run to greet them. - never pass up an opportunity to go for a joy ride (on a Harley, or in a Hummer.) Remember that fresh air and the wind in your face are good things. - take naps - stretch before rising - run, romp and play daily. - avoid biting ... when a simple growl will do. - if something you want is buries, dig until you find it. Enjoy every day ... a dog's life goes by quick ! We will miss you. - Posted by: Georgina Beyer (Friend/Co-worker) on: Oct 11, 2016
