Shirley was predeceased by her husband Jake Krause; parents, Wilfred and Lillian Sanders; stepfather John Smith (Pa); son Greg; as well as brothers, Alex (Lynn), John (Rose) and Sheldon; as well as her sister Liz. Shirley leaves to mourn, her children, Toby (Sheri), Dave (Crystal) and Jennifer; as well as special friend John Brown. She also leaves behind, Cecil, Walter (Debbie), Pat (Joanne); as well as her sister Margaret; grand-children, Glen, Steph, Zach, Sabrina, Regan, Gage and Courtney; great-grandchild Zoey. Shirley spent most of her life between Selkirk and Lac du Bonnet, and when she wasn't there she was travelling or fishing, or caring for people she cared for. When she did go fishing and she caught a fish, she would always say "we will never go hungry with me around." Shirley also spent a number of years living in St. George, MB, while living there, she spent her time knitting mitts, touques, scarfs, as well as socks for the local elementary school. Funeral services will be held in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, MB, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016, with luncheon to follow at the Friendship Centre.
