JOSEPH VICTOR EDOUARD TELLIER
Date of Passing: Oct 09, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH VICTOR EDOUARD (ED) TELLIER Joseph Victor Edouard, "Ed," passed away peacefully in his sleep, on October 9, 2016 at the age of 83. Ed was born in Winnipeg and grew up with his brother Phil at St. Joseph's Vocational School. These were difficult years, but prepared Ed for a life of helping others. In 1959, he went to The Pas to work with Provincial Social Services. As a social worker he travelled widely in the North and formed many friendships, among these his pals in the Kinsmen Club. In 1980, he returned to Winnipeg and worked until his retirement in 1993. Ed was a man who loved life, his family and his friends. He enjoyed long walks, curling, a tough crossword puzzle and above all, a good (or bad) joke and a hearty laugh. He will be missed by all and is lovingly remembered by his children, Jay (Sandy), Suzanne (Bruce) and Paul; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the caring staff of the Deer Lodge. By Ed's request, there will be no funeral service. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. "Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that's how I'll remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all." Jay (Sandy), Suzanne (Bruce) and Paul; we are truly sorry to hear of Uncle Ed’s passing. Know that you are in our hearts today. They say we’re sorry for your loss They say your heart will mend They say he’s in a better place, and death is not the end. They say he’ll be reunited with loved ones gone before. They say that he'll be waiting when you walk through heaven's door. You feel their love in every word of comfort they impart, and know that each is spoken from deep within the heart. But all the words of comfort, though kind, sincere, and true, can't take away the emptiness Your feeling now without him. We, my husband Bill and I, were good friends with the Teller's in The Pas, as fellow Kinsmen/Kinnette's, and I also worked with Ed at the Provincial Building. We had lost touch over the years, but I will never forget that Ed took me to my first Blood Donor Clinic in The Pas. I have now made 65 donations and am still donating. For coercing me to go and donate, I will always be grateful! A kind and caring man whom I am sure will be missed. My condolences to friends and family. - Posted by: elizabeth farguson (friend and co-worker) on: Oct 24, 2016

My deepest condolences to Jay, Sue and Paul. Your Dad was such a dear friend, and he was loved by everyone that met him. I loved stopping by to visit him at the house - Sam was always at the door waiting and the water was put on to boil for a cup of coffee. I enjoyed so many dinners with him at My Place Pie Place, coin shows at the Charterhouse and Marlborough, and of course having him allow me to dog sit Sam when he was away. Ed also helped reunite me with my birth mother back in 1993 and for that I will always be thankful. We have remained in contact and through her I also had a wonderful "step Dad", whose family I have had the pleasure of traveling to Ireland to meet, and some wonderful Aunts & Uncles. Your Dad was a wonderful mentor and friend to many and he'll never be forgotten. - Posted by: Janice Fleger (Friend) on: Oct 19, 2016
