MARYLOU MANN September 26, 1934 October 10, 2016 MaryLou Mann of Winnipeg peacefully passed away at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence, parents Ethan and Hazel Crann, and her brother Jim. She leaves to mourn her children Robin (Drew), Wayne (Julia), Tim, and Terry (Annette). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sean, Rory (Nicole), Kathy, Gillian, Riley, and great-grandchildren Ty and Korbin. Also grieving are her lifelong friends Shirley and Joseph Salay who provided compassion, support and love to her in her final years. MaryLou was born and grew up in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. She and Clarence were married in 1952. Clarence's career with the Hudson's Bay Company moved the family from Sioux Lookout, Nipigon, Atikokan, Terrace Bay, Flin Flon, Edmonton, and Winnipeg. They made long lasting friends everywhere they went. MaryLou and Clarence travelled extensively but their greatest loves were their winter home in Arizona and their cabin in Ontario. MaryLou was a very talented folk artist. She had her own gallery and taught numerous students the joy of painting. She leaves a lasting legacy of beautiful art in many homes in Canada and the US. The family would like to thank the staff of Charleswood Care Centre for their support over the past few years. We also thank the staff of Comforts of Home Care for their loving care of MaryLou. A special thank you to her long term care givers Crystal and RuthAnne. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4G2. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
