Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Extending deepest sympathy to the Chubala & Szczepanski families on hearing the news of Angela's passing following her second battle with cancer. Angela was a long time volunteer and friend of the Canadian Cancer Society. As a dedicated peer support volunteer, Angela was a vital link to other cancer survivors and offered comfort and hope in healing! For 5 years, she took on the role as the volunteer coordinator for the annual Daffodil Gala Ball. Angela was deeply caring and compassionate, she loved life and looked forward to the future! Gone too soon - we have lost a beautiful friend! Lynda and friends at the Canadian Cancer Society - Posted by: Lynda Ruban (staff at the Canadian Cancer Society) on: Oct 26, 2016

  • I met Angela when I was assigned to a project in the CAO's office many years ago. Angela was one of the most kind, professional and decent people I met at the City of Winnipeg. She was generous with her time and experience, helping me navigate the corporate offices at the City. She was a devoted, loving parent to her two children who she was immensely proud of. When I visited Angela in the hospital in September, she was so brave in the face of her illness. I will miss her friendship. - Posted by: Shelley Hart (Friend & Co-worker) on: Oct 22, 2016

  • Angie was a very quiet person but always had a ready smile. Bobby loved to dance with her and I (Pattie) so wanted to dance just like her. She was graceful not just on the dance floor but in the way she spoke and made others feel special. You could see that she was a joy to be around by the way she danced. I'm going to miss you Angie and the way you and I would try to steal each other's moves..... Our deepest sympathy to all who were lucky to have known her. • Going to miss you Angela. You were a wonderful, beautiful young lady in every way possible. My deepest sympathy to the family. Kim Zimmermann - Posted by: Joachim (Kim) Zimmermann (friend) on: Oct 17, 2016

  • Angela was a colleague, mentor, and friend. I worked with Angela for several years and we shared many laughs and sorrows during that time. She took me under her wing when I started with the City and graciously shared her experience and knowledge with me. Even more valuable to me was her encouragement and friendship. She is truly, truly going to be missed. My condolences to all of you. I pray that God will comfort you in this this time of sorrow. - Posted by: Shelly Davidon (Co-worker at City of Winnipeg) on: Oct 17, 2016
