LEONARD GUSTAFSON It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing, peacefully at home, of my husband Leonard, age 73 years of Petersfield, Manitoba, on Thursday, October 6, 2016. He was predeceased by his first wife, Betty (Stefanyshyn), father (Nelson), mother (Hilma). Left to remember him with love are his wife Marlene, children: Curtis (Sierra, Cheye, Joel), Candace (Cole, Ashton, Logan, Mackenzie) and Cameron (Cooper, Paige), sister Carol, and brother Stewart. Leonard loved the land, cutting grass, watching birds. In his early years he worked in construction with Comstock and in his latter years he worked at St. Andrew's Airport. At Leonard's request, there will be no formal funeral. A private memorial has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Mennonite Central or the Salvation Army. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I am so sorry to hear of your loss I have so many memories of your dad. It's really hard to believe he's gone. We used to call him the mayor of St. Andrews. Everywhere he went he would hold court whether it was the corner store, the hockey rink or the shop. He could keep those around him laughing and chatting for hours. He told me something once that will stick in my mind forever he said "Darcy you might go off 90 miles per hour in the wrong direction but somehow you'll always end up where you want to go" and he was right. He will be missed, take care Darcy - Posted by: Darcy Gascoigne () on: Oct 25, 2016
