Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL BERTHA CORRIGAN With loving thoughts we sadly announce that Pearl Bertha Corrigan peacefully passed away at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home on Monday, October 17, 2016. She is predeceased by her husband Harold (Corky); her father Robert and mother Olive Wilwand; also, sister Lillian Sellick and Wilwand; brothers, Douglas, Bill, Leo, Art, Earl, Harold and George. Left to cherish her with memories are daughters, Valerie (Peter) Mizak, Susan (Gary) Hart; sister Joyce Webber; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Mizak, Derek (Corinne) Mizak with great- granddaughters, Gracie and Stella. Aunt Pearl also leaves nieces, nephews and friends she so dearly loved. Pearl (95 years of age) was born December 24, 1920 in the Turtle Mountains, MB. She later moved to Winnipeg and worked for the Eaton's department store. Mom loved to have family gatherings at Christmas, her favourite time of year, when her birthday came on December 24th. She loved to cook, especially holopchi and bake, favourites like baking powder biscuits and her specialty carrot pudding. Her needlework skills were well known. Her garden gave her many years of pleasure while meeting with neighbours and she loved to travel to see friends and family on the Westcoast. Pearl loved all kinds of music; but, most of all she loved her family and friends such as those she recently found at her Care Home. Many thanks for all the care and attention to Tuxedo's staff and volunteers. With her blue spot, she always wanted to win the big one. Thanks, Pearl (Mom) for having made our lives richer. You will be missed, but never forgotten in our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 24 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery) at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may donate to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9.
