Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTORIA SMITH (MOCKNOWED) Peacefully on September 30, 2016, Victoria (Vicky) Smith passed away at her home in Winnipeg at 84 years of age. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Audrey (Jack) and her son Brian (Brenda) and her four grandchildren Amanda, Chris, Dillon and Tyler. Vicky was predeceased by her parents Steve and Mary Mocknowed. Vicky moved from Theodore, Saskatchewan to Winnipeg at an early age and lived her whole life in Winnipeg. During her years as a waitress she loved talking to people and that continued after she retired. Mom will always be remembered for her cooking, her plants, and her love of her grandson's hockey games. Come summer time Vicky could be found on Saturday morning at St. Norbert market finding the best produce for pickling. She found happiness in everything she did and never complained even when getting around became a little more difficult. Special thanks to the Winnipeg Police, Fire and Parmedics Services and the medical examiner's office for their efficiency, kindness and compassion. In keeping with Vicky's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 10:00 am at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
