MARIE REAHIL September 12, 1920 October 16, 2016 On Sunday, October 16, 2016, at the age of 96, Marie Reahil passed away peacefully with her family beside her. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Reahil; her parents, Mary Elizabeth and Henry Schmidt; and her brothers, Henry and Fred. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Marilyn Page, (Dick Mulder), son Rod Senft (Jeannie) and son Gary Senft (Darcia); along with her seven grandchildren and their partners, Jeff, David, Riley, Derek, Lauren, Joey and Tyler; and six great-grandchildren, Jessa, Rae, Jayden, Conner, Zoe and Isabella. Marie was born and raised in the North End of Winnipeg. She was very proud of her three children and the lives they made for themselves. Throughout her life, she met challenges with grace and dignity, and kept her faith, which was strong. Marie worked for a time at the University of Manitoba, in the Registrar's Office, in the Graduate Studies Department. While in Winnipeg, Marie met Raymond Reahil, fell in love and moved with him to British Columbia, where they enjoyed many happy years together. Being in BC gave her the opportunity to spend more time with Rod and Jeannie, and their children, especially during special holidays. Marie cherished visits with close friends and family, and particularly enjoyed sharing special meals together. A celebration of Marie's life will be held on Saturday, November 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Oakbank United Church, 582 Balsam Crescent, Oakbank, Manitoba. Interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Andrea Babick and the staff at Holy Family Home for caring for our Mom in such a special way. Dr. Andrea took care of Mom and all of us, body and soul. We will always be grateful to our private caregivers who cared for Marie as they would have their own family members. They surpassed everything we expected of them and enriched her life.
