ANGELA SZCZEPANSKI Ms. Angela Suzanna Szczepanski of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday, October 13, 2016, at the age of 58 following a courageous battle with cancer. Angela was born on November 12, 1957 to parents Michael and Weronica Szczepanski. She grew up the middle of three children and attended Seneca College in Toronto Ontario before returning to Winnipeg to marry and raise two children of her own. Angela worked tirelessly as an administrative and executive assistant in various departments of the City of Winnipeg. In her later years she loved to travel, leaving her footprints on the ground of dozens of countries around the world. She is survived by her son Kyle Chubala, her daughter Chrissy Chubala, and her partner Sal Russo, all of whom were by her side at the St. Boniface General Hospital Palliative Care Ward during her final moments. She is also survived by brothers Richard and Joseph (Cathy) Szczepanski, and many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends around the world. Angela is predeceased by her parents Michael and Weronica Szczepanski. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and health aide staff who attended to Angela in the last months of her journey, first at the Health Sciences Centre (Ward GD4) and subsequently at the St. Boniface General Hospital (Palliative Care Ward 8A). I just found about the passing of Angela as I was on vacation at the time of her passing. I worked with Angela while in the CAO's office. She was great colleague and I am sadden to just hear about the news. Angela always knew how to brighten up a person's day and I thank her for her kindness. - Posted by: Ken Nawolsky (former co-worker) on: Dec 22, 2016

My condolences to Angie's family. I sat beside Angie at the administration's table through many meetings of the City's Executive Policy Committee when she was Executive Assistant to the CAO and I was City Solicitor. I greatly appreciated her wisdom, humour and support. She was a wonderful person! - Posted by: Ursula Goeres (Former co-worker) on: Oct 25, 2016

An immeasurable loss for Sal, for her family and for her friends ā I grieve with you. Her passion for dance and her zest for life were so clearly obvious to me from the time I met her and Iām certain for many others who crossed paths in life with her. Amazingly graceful on the dance floor, infinitely patient and encouraging with me as a novice dancer ā her absence is felt already. - Posted by: Brad Borgstrom (Friend / Dancer) on: Oct 24, 2016
