DORIS SARA KNAPP (SUNDIN) It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Sara Knapp on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Doris passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospice, with her family and friends by her side. Doris will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Tom Ogilvie, her partner of 24 years; her niece Heather (Allan) and Heather's family; Mathew, Melissa (Michael), Raeanna and Jocelyn; and her very dear friends, Michael and Marc. Also left to cherish Doris' memory are many nieces, nephews and friends. Doris was born June 18, 1922 at Sandridge, MB to Charles and Judith Sundin, She lived most of her life in Winnipeg and lived approximately 20 years in Inwood and Teulon. Doris married Gordon Knapp in 1947 and they were married for 31 years until Gordon's passing in 1978. Doris worked in the restaurant business for 35 years, including 24 years at the Great West Life cafeteria. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and curling and was always up for a good game of cards. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined but if desired, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
