WILLIAM (BILL) FUTZ (1928-2016) Peacefully after a lengthy illness, Bill passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Victoria hospital at the age of 88. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 46 years Stella; children, Brenda and Curtis; granddaughter Shannon (Rob); three grandchildren and son-in-law Len. Also, he will be sadly missed by his brother Ed (Sharon). Predeceased by his parents, Mike and Nellie; sister Elsie and daughter Sandra. Bill spent most of his career working for the CNR as a policeman, retiring in 1988 as a lieutenant with the investigation department. He was a long time member of Alcoholic Anonymous celebrating his 49th year of sobriety. In lieu of flowers, if so desired a donation in Bill's name can be made to the Diabetic Society 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6, or the charity of your choice. Thanks to the staff on 5 south in Victoria Hospital for their care. Memorial services will be held Friday October 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
