GORDON JAMES THREADKILL August 28, 1942 - October 26, 2016 Jim passed peacefully on Wednesday morning at the Victoria General Hospital. Never married, and without his own children, Jim is survived by many cousins and a vast worldwide network of friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Olive; sister Marlene Edmonds and brother Reg Prout. After 35 years at the Weston Shops with CP Rail, early retirement allowed Jim the opportunity to travel the world, and he did. Jim loved life and his love, vibrancy and excitement was infectious. He loved telling stories, loved to laugh, loved theater and music concerts, loved to dance and maybe most of all loved to entertain. Jim once confided: "The only thing I regret is that I didn't have children." In his way of wanting to help others, he arranged for the Threadkill family estate to be donated to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. At Jim's request, there will be no funeral, but a private gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
