Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILMA MAY HARRISON Peacefully on October 26, 2016 at the River Park Gardens Personal Care Home, Wilma Harrison passed away at the age of 97 years. Wilma is survived by her two daughters, Marjorie Watling and Rhonda (Craig) Baxter; five grandchildren, Matthew, Shannon (Ryan), Bryce (Marie), Colin (Dana) and Shane (Melissa); and five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Konrad, Eliott and Tessa. Wilma was predeceased by her husband Lloyd; son-in-law Terry and two sisters, Maxine and Doreen. Wilma was born in Plumas, Manitoba on May 14, 1919 where she lived until she moved to Domain to start her teaching career. At that time she met and married Lloyd Harrison in 1944. They farmed in the area until 1963 then moved to Fort Garry. Wilma enjoyed gardening, quilting and sewing, especially for her grandchildren. A memorial reception will be held on Tuesday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. The family would like to thank the staff at River Park Gardens PCH for all their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
