Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE IRELAND (nee YESKE) April 30, 1935 - October 24, 2016 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Elsie Ireland (nee Yeske) at the age of 81, at her residence in Gimli. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Allan "Butch" and her son David. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Debbie (Tony), son Wayne (Jackie), daughter Lori (Adrian); grandchildren, Tanis (Wes), Shannon (Guy) , Garrett (Emma), Cody (Alyssa), Jesse, Emily and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Taylor (Tj), Alyssa and Kolbie. Mom was born in Kreuzburg (Fraserwood), she married Butch in 1956 and they made many friends in their travels around the world with the Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force they returned to Gimli where they raised their family. Elsie was employed by Seagrams for many years and enjoyed her work. She was an avid sports fan especially curling and baseball. She loved being with family even if it was at bingo, playing cards, doing puzzles or just sitting around laughing and joking. She will be greatly missed by her close friends Ed and Louise, Maryanne and Marie who were always there for her. Services honouring Elsie's life will take place in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
