FREDERICK J. OSTAPCHUK 1939 - 2016 Peacefully on October 26, 2016 Fred passed away after a long battle with cancer. Fred was predeceased by his wife, the love of his life, Helen, and his parents Kathleen and Joseph Ostapchuk. He leaves to mourn his passing, sisters-in-law Ella Harlos and Marlene (Arnie) Schlippert, and his companion Dorothy Oppeneer. Fred worked for Data Business Forms for 39 years. Travels included Hawaii, Portugal, Canada and the U.S. Fred loved taking photos and enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed playing the fiddle especially with Southglen Fiddlers and the Naturals. Special thanks to the Riverview Health Centre, doctors and nurses for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran, 400 Rouge Rd., Winnipeg MB R3K 1K3 with Reverend Carol Janke officiating. A reception will follow.
