Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS MARY (JESMER) BERENS On October 28, 2016 Phyllis Berens of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Hospital at the age of 96 years young. Predeceased by her husband Fred in 1990, son Fred in 1991, son Delbert in 2007, son Laurie in 1997, grandson David, and her great-grandson Corey in 2016. Phyllis was born at Camp Morton, Manitoba to Hubert and Shirley Jesmer. She spent quite a few years in Berens River. She married Fred in 1935 and raised sons Fred, Delbert, Laurie, Ken, and daughters Shirley, Rose, Carol and Delores. They moved to Winnipeg in 1952. She worked several jobs such as a cook, taking care of several seniors, babysitting, and even starting her own business. Phyllis was always a caring, kind hearted, loving and a happy person. She will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
