ANNIE SPEIRS It's with great sadness that we announce that Annie Speirs passed away peacefully on October 26, 2016 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 88 years. She will be sadly missed by many cousins and friends. She lived all her life in Winnipeg going to Riverview, Lord Roberts and Kelvin schools. Right after school Annie went to work for CP Rail. She worked in the Transportation and Chief Accountant Dept. for 41 years, retiring in 1987. Annie enjoyed going to the theatre, traveling, baseball, going out with friends, and shopping. She looked forward to attending The Charleswood Adult Day Club and attending Churchill Park United Church weekly. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Churchill Park United Church, 525 Beresford Avenue. Interment will follow at Thomson "In the Park" Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for their compassion and support to all the WRHA home care staff that made Annie's life easier over the years, and the Staff at Extendicare Tuxedo Villa, and the doctors and nurses at the Grace Hospital, emergency and 3rd floor.
