LAURENT ALAIN LAMBERT On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, Laurent Alain Lambert passed away with his family by his side at the age of 73 years. Laurent will be dearly missed by his wife Doreen; daughter Claudine (Ryan) and grandchildren Anthony, Danica, and Kiefer. Also, left to cherish his memory are his siblings Robert (Serena), Dolores, Ernie (Jacinthe), Rolande (Robert), Claude (Nancy), Andre, Debbie (Al), Guy, Yvon (Charlene); and in-laws Myrna (Wayne), Gisele (Bob), Carol (Monte), Barbara (Mallory), Lucille (Brian), Jeanette, Jerry (Sandra), Ron (Yvette); numerous nephews and nieces; and by so many good friends. Laurent was predeceased by his father and mother Yves and Edmee Lambert; his mother and father in-law Arthur and Jeanne Bruce, his in-laws Jim Bruce, Raymond Coutu, Larry Bartley and Kathleen Pooyak. On February 23, 1943, Laurent was born and grew up in St. Laurent, MB. He married the love of his life Doreen on November 21, 1964. Laurent's greatest joys were his wife, his daughter, and grandchildren; he was so very proud of them. He was a hard worker and in the past 30 years he owned and operated Lambert's Meats. There is no doubt that Laurent loved hunting, baseball and horse races. During the winter months, he looked forward to his yearly vacation and most of all he enjoyed all the time he spent at the cottage in St. Laurent, Manitoba. Watching his grandson Anthony play hockey and baseball throughout the years was very precious for him. Laurent was a great storyteller, and he had a memory that could not be disputed. With the storytelling came the 'joker' part of him and he kept people entertained and laughing throughout his life. Laurent's passing has left a very empty place in our hearts and with the many who knew him. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church, 119 Parish Lane, St. Laurent, MB with Rev. Fr. Paul Tinguely, presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. • My wife and I had the pleasure of knowing Laurent and listened to a number of his stories, some are still hard to believe. We will miss him but we know he is in a better place with no pain.. - Posted by: Moe&Judy Orlowski (Friend) on: Nov 05, 2016

  • Laurent and I go a long long way back to when we were growing up. I came so close to seeing him last summer when I was visiting in Winnipeg but time did not permit. Sometimes we should make time to see people we love. Deepest sympathy goes to all his family. Doreen et Claudine, prenez courage, mes prieres sont avec vous et toute la famille Lambert et aussi la famille Bruce. - Posted by: Elsie Devlin (Cousin) on: Nov 05, 2016
