REV. JOHN K. REIMER February 18, 1919 - November 5, 2016 John K. Reimer passed away peacefully Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the age of 97, only a few miles from where his life began. John was born February 18, 1919, to Isaac W and Margaretha (Kroeker) Reimer, the 11th of 17 children. As a young man he dedicated his life to serving God and attended Steinbach Bible School in preparation for a lifetime of ministry. John married Leona Reimer on October 8, 1945. Together they served the Lord in various places in Canada, as well as internationally. John will be lovingly remembered by his children: David (Katharine) Reimer, Lucille (Jim) Pfeifer, Rod (Debbie) Reimer, Arvella (Mike) Lucas; their grandchildren: Jonathan (Kalie) Reimer, Russell (Amber) Reimer, Natalie (Scott) Reimer Anderson, Jennifer Reimer, Dylan Reimer, Dustin (Kaylee) Pfeifer, Megan (Jeff) Lundy, Caleb, Josh and Jael Reimer, Matt and David Lucas; 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Elma Wiebe, of Lethbridge, AB. John was predeceased by his beloved wife Leona and his son Samuel Wayne. The viewing will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, 162 Hwy. 52W, Steinbach, MB. The funeral service will take place on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Evangelical Mennonite Church, 422 Main Street, Steinbach, MB, with the interment at the Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
