Kathy was one of my childhood neighbourhood friends growing up and as an adolescent. In later years she occasionally attended Flin Flon luncheons in Winnipeg. A beautiful person in every way. I will miss you Kathy. - Posted by: Richard Lyons (Long time friend) on: Nov 09, 2016

A Poem to Kathy Sharing At first, it was the 'digs' we shared In that old place in the 'Peg It had creaks and cracks, as I recall And the furniture wasn't great! We cooked and cleaned a bit, I think Shared books, the rent and food to buy And as the weekends came and went We even shared some guys! We were the gals from the country towns You, Flin Flon, as in the mine But now at university It was really our time to shine. We're in the VOX, you're class of '69 Your beauty there as ever. In English and History, your B.A. For life...for being clever. And Oh, the clothes you wore Your style... was of tomorrow You know that skirt you made Do you mind if I could borrow? The years they passed, we found our mates With children we were blessed We raised those kids as best we could With lessons and the rest. Those years of life went by so fast How can it be you're gone? I want to share some more with you Some stories from the past? We need to share of the travels we've made Of Grandkids, or the mistakes we've made Of growing older and our aches and pains And if in life, we've made any gains. Remember the Irises that you shared with me from your beloved garden And now they will always hold your memory, and the beauty of your soul. Now life gurgles on for the rest of us who shared The sad news, as the calls went out The news, too sad for us to bear. But we know you have gone ahead To find another place, another place to share As in this life and in the next You are a friend to cherish. - Posted by: Joyce Depoe (friend) on: Nov 06, 2016

I will always remember Kathy from our days growing up in Flin Flon together -in fact Kathy lived only a few doors down from me on the same street. We played together as little kids. When I think of Kathy, she always had a beautiful smile. As children, we had fun at many birthday parties together and participated in piano recitals and music festivals. I still remember when she was voted "Freshie Queen" in grade 12 at Hapnot Collegiate. I was deeply saddened to hear of Kathy's passing. My condolences to her family and friends.
