FRANK SCHRAM It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father Frank Schram, on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St. Boniface Hospital. Dad was born April 6, 1934 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He grew up in the north end where at an early age he met the love of his life Joy Arnold. They married in 1956 and moved to Edmonton, Alberta where they began to raise their family of five children. Frank's work with the railway eventually brought them back to their home town of Winnipeg in 1978, where he happily spent the remainder of his life. In his retirement he enjoyed many years of golfing in the summers and curling in the winters. In the spring of 2010 his wife Joy lost her long battle with cancer. In the end it brought him comfort to know they would be together again. The bond they shared was beautiful and unbreakable even in death.Frank was a very loyal man, he loved deeply and for keeps. He always endeavored to see the good in those around him. Left to mourn his passing are his children; Kevin Schram (Linda), Ada Bond (Mark), Erin Pachal (Gordon), John Schram, Deanna Bretecher (Michael), as well as his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and neighbours. Frank was predeceased by his grandchildren Amanda Schram and Jack Bond. A celebration of Frank's life will be held on Saturday November 12, at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, 881 Autumnwood Drive at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 0S6. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I would like to offer my condolences on your loss... If I have it correct, I was a friend of Deanna's and after my visits (watching Dolly the pug dance to "Hello Dolly") Frank was always kind and would walk me home. It's been a very long time. - Posted by: Kelly Sudermann () on: Jan 26, 2018
