Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRWIN IRA BUHR September 12, 1930 - November 4, 2016 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Irwin at the age of 86 at the Grace Hospital with his family at his side. Irwin was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, great granddaughter Taylor Penner, sisters Elsie, Minna, Edna, Renetta, Marie and brother Harry. He is survived by his three daughters Kathy (Ron) Booker of Morden, MB, Laura (Randy) Sawatzky of Okotoks, AB, and Valerie (Adrienne) Buhr-Paylor of Courtenay, BC; his grandchildren Lisa (Lucas) Penner, Ryan Booker, Colby, Caden and Siera Sawatzky; great granddaughters Tyra and Rylee Penner; sisters Loretta Stuart, Lillian Thielker and brother James (Joyce); second wife Margaret who was always there when he needed her as well as many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Grace Hospital staff and especially nurse Dawn. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Manhattan Ballroom of the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel Winnipeg South, 2935 Pembina Highway. I sure will miss Uncle Irwin. I have so many fond memories of him growing up as a kid and of course well into my adult years. Even when Uncle Irv was not doing well health wise; I could be assured that he would be laughing and in great spirits when I visited him. We had lots of laughs; whether it reminiscing about old times and/or what was going on in my life today. I will miss his great sense of humor, his laugh and will treasure these special memories for years to come. His stories will continue to make me laugh now and in the future. RIP Uncle Irwin.
