TOKEN ELAINE SNIKERIS
Born: May 16, 1958
Date of Passing: Nov 03, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTOKEN ELAINE SNIKERIS (nee MUNT) May 16, 1958 - November 3, 2016 Suddenly, on November 3, 2016, Token passed away at home in Winnipeg. Left to cherish her memory are daughters Alexis (Patrick) Jessiman, Ashley, son Neal (Miranda), mother Marion Marshall (nee Munt), Donald Marshall, brothers Kurt and Ronnie Munt and several relatives and friends. She is predeceased by father Harry and brother Walter Munt. Token was a lifelong proud Winnipegger. Marion, Donald and Harry ingrained in her a fiery personality, infectious laugh and generous spirit that personified the city she loved. Whether golfing, gardening or tanning, Token loved being outside. Inside, "Mama T" was usually cooking enough to feed the neighbourhood. She lived to entertain and made miracles every occasion. She kept a pristine home - even with the kids and cats. Pity whoever left footprints in her just vacuumed living room. Token worked in sales at EQ3 Furniture and Accents. She took pride in designing a perfect room and connecting with clients and co-workers. Of course, no co-worker went hungry. She took great joy in motherhood and deeply loved her children. Her grandchildren Elissa, Violet and Crawford Jessiman; Koen and Kyra Snikeris highlighted her final years. Gramma Token never showed up without toys and treats for all. She made everyone feel like a kid again by carrying on tradition and hosting every special occasion, the final being last Halloween which was as magical as ever. A tech wizard she was not, but she loved her iPad and teaching her grandkids to use it. Or was it the other way around? A funny "autocorrect" would always make her LOL! Token was tough as nails, honest, and unafraid to speak her mind, whether you liked it or not. But she was also gentle, loving, and kind. Nobody went without if she could help it. She will be sorely missed but her legacy of strength, dedication and perseverance lives on in the family she built. Night night Mama. "Nub nu." At her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. It would have been our 42nd anniversary on July 17, 2018 plus the 2 years we were engaged. You will always be the love of my life. We had a great family and you raised 3 wonderful kids, I was not there enough. But every day when I came home, you were there for me. I love you and will never forget you, Shmeddy, my love. - Posted by: Martin Snikeris (Husband) on: Jul 21, 2018

I want to offer my condolences to the Family. Token and I met when we both worked for Rothmans. That was in the 80's and we were both doing the same job. I remember her as a wonderful down to earth person with a huge sense of humour! We were always laughing when we were together. Although I have not seen her since we both left Rothmans she is one sweetheart I will always remember. RIP Token...amen - Posted by: Sharon Appler (Old Friend) on: Nov 10, 2016

I went to school (Gordon Bell) with Token. Although we went our separate ways after school we kept in touch via telephone until she had Neil and I had Bryan that we lost touch because of our busy schedules. That was 31 years ago. On November 3, I thought of her and Googled her name. Rest in peace Token and condolences to her family and friends. - Posted by: Cathy Moar (School mate) on: Nov 09, 2016
