HELEN ELIZABETH (HILLIS) DUTCH-SCHMIDT October 5, 1928 - October 29, 2016 Helen is fondly remembered by a daughter, two stepdaughters; a stepson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was born and raised in Pratt, MB. Leaving the area to marry Wm. Dutch. She moved to Knox, Carberry, Austin, Red Lake Road, Justice, Rivers and Winnipeg where she worked for DND. Helen later met and married Gordon Schmidt and they moved to Germany and Edmonton retiring in Winnipeg. She was active in the Eastern Star, Legion, supporting several clubs devoted to pets and wildlife. Helen enjoyed golf, dancing, Yahtzee, flowers, travel in the motorhome and visiting friends and family. A Farewell Celebration will be held on November 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Prince Edward Legion, corner of Trent and Brazier.
