JOHN NEUFELD On Saturday, November 12, 2016, John Neufeld passed away at the age of 89 years. John was predeceased by his parents, John and Anna, four brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife Marion, sons Vernon and Curtis, daughters Janice and Vera (Henry), one sister Louise, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. John's parents immigrated to Canada from the Ukraine in 1920, settling in the Niverville area where John was born on September 19, 1927. He married Marion Mullen from Kenville, MB in 1952, and they were blessed with four children. He made his living in the trucking industry as a long distance driver during most of his life, being recognized for his skill, honesty and reliability. John loved airplanes, hockey and he occasionally enjoyed working on his golf swing at the driving range. He was a kind and caring man, who loved and worked hard for his family. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Selkirk Betel Care Home for their kindness and wonderful care provided. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk, MB.
