GEORGE ASHTON ALLEYNE Peacefully, with family at his side, George Ashton Alleyne, aged 87 years, passed away at his home, at midday on November 11, 2016. He will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew him. Mourning his loss is his beloved wife, Tressa; his sons and daughters, Winston, Dawn Greaves, Carlene Sturgeon, Debbie (deceased), Susan, Lisa, Julius and step-daughter, Ann Marie Elias; 20 grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, and one great- great- grandchild. George, a truly self-made man, worked tirelessly to teach himself the skills needed to succeed. Born and raised in Trinidad, George immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada to spend his retirement years. Here he enjoyed, music, travelling, spending time with friends and family, particularly, his grandchildren. The family extend sincere thanks and gratitude to the doctors and nurses, medical aide assistants, palliative nurses and VIP care givers, whose compassionate care and attention made for a peaceful passing. A celebration of George's life and Ash Interment Service will be held at 12.00 (noon) on Saturday November 19, 2016 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
