BARBARA DONNA MATHISON 1938 2016 Born August 4, 1938, Barbara Donna Mathison, a life long resident of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Barb was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was married on September 26, 1959 to James Martin Mathison. They were happily married for 36 wonderful years until Jim's passing on June 8, 1996. She was a hard worker for the Provincial Government for many years and worked her way up to Executive with professionalism and integrity. She was extremely caring and open hearted and had an amazing attitude towards life. Barb was someone who would always lend an ear, help with a school art project, or just watch the weather channel and relax with the family pets. She greeted the day with a smile and a bit of quick wit. Barb never failed to make everyone smile and she will be deeply missed by her daughter Donna; her son-in-law Ken; her granddaughter Victoria; as well as the family pets, Kevin and Princess Leia. A Celebration of Barb's Life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Interment to follow.
