I have so many good memories of growing up with Chris. Going fishing down to the river, playing baseball and football in our backyards and ball hockey in our driveways, and of course our bottle rocket wars. I'm so sorry for your family's loss and was very saddened by the news of Chris' passing. We had lost touch for some time but to see his smile in the picture with Sugar Ray brings back memories of sitting in the dugout together at Charleswood Park to share laughs between innings, hanging out and playing wastebasket basketball nightly in the University of Ottawa dorms on our grade 9 school trip and coming up with practical jokes and funny jingles (at least we thought so) for our various teachers and classmates. Above all, I will remember Chris for his playful spirit and his kind heart. Again, my heartfelt condolences. - Posted by: Ken Craw (Friend) on: Nov 21, 2016

My sincere condolences for your loss. I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Chris. Although I was not very close to Chris, I always found him to be very personable. I was sad to hear of Chris' passing. Chris always asked me about how my wife and our son Devin was doing. I found Chris to be very smart and appreciated the help he gave me when I had a problem to solve. I also enjoyed the ribbing back and forth whenever the Riders and Bombers were playing. He definitely got to rib me more this year. Candace, Devin and I want to express our condolences to Richard, Sylvia, Robyn, Chase and Paige. - Posted by: Richard Kazakoff (Collegue/Friend) on: Nov 21, 2016

Memories of Chris keep flooding our minds since we heard the tragic news of his passing. Memories of street hockey at our home with our son Roger and other friends. Memories of hockey arenas all around Winnipeg, of baseball fields and on and on the memories come to mind. Chris was a very sweet, quiet boy and very endearing. He will be missed! I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the Spitzke family. Chris was a very special person and I am extremely saddened by the news of his passing. Though I did not have much contact with Chris the last few years (while I've been living in Japan), I have so many fond childhood memories of him that I will cherish forever. I was fortunate enough to have seen him about a year and half ago when I was back home for a short time. That night, we had a great time and lots of laughs; it was like we had never been apart, and I feel so blessed to have had that opportunity to reconnect with him. I really hope your family can find the strength to cope during this very difficult time and, eventually, some peace and comfort in the many great memories that Chris left us with. - Posted by: Pino Cutrone (Friends) on: Nov 20, 2016

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. Chris was a great friend throughout my junior high & high school years. I loved watching him & the rest of the guys play hockey. We had far too many memories enjoying life as teens and experimenting with life. Chris used to drive me and the "girls" around Charleswood in his car with the music cranked. Far to much goofing around and great memories I reflect on today. - Posted by: Karole Robinson-Ducharme (High school friend. ) on: Nov 19, 2016
