Worked with Don at the Airport in the middle 70's and enjoyed his subtle wit and pranks. Rest in Peace, old buddy. Can family send me his S/ regimental number for the Roll of Honor that the RCMP Vets maintain. I have entered him on the Roll. - Posted by: Dan CARUK (Co- Worker at W.I.A.) on: Dec 02, 2016

Dear Joy and family, I was saddened to learn of Don's passing. My sincere condolences to your family. I always enjoyed working with Don at Good Neighbours. He was always so upbeat and positive. I enjoyed chats with the two of you when you dropped by the centre. You will miss him greatly. Lynda - Posted by: Lynda Jones (Friend) on: Nov 26, 2016

I've known Don for at least 30 years. Through him I felt like I got to know his family. He always spoke very highly of his children and grandchildren. His wife Joy truly put the joy in his life. Anything he did he did with passion, be it golf , woodwork or cooking. He brightened my day with his humour and intelligent conversation. He was always willing to help out in any way he could. I believe him to be a true gentleman, tempered with good humour but also no nonsense when it was needed. My deepest sympathy to Joy and family. My condolences to Joy, Family, Friends and Former Colleagues. I met Don at the Winnipeg Airport back in the 80's. I found Don to be a straight shooter and knowledgeable in his field. He served his employer well and often spoke about his Family, always in a loving way. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Nuno Camara (Friend) on: Nov 23, 2016
