She was predeceased by her husband George and son William, mother, father and all three of her brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Margaret and her children Jeffrey (Kate), Daniel (Mara), daughter in law Brenda and her children Dawn (Kevin), Vanessa (Mark) and eight great-grandchildren, Abbie, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Keifer, Teagan, Maryssa, Morgan, and William. The three years she lived in B.C., Margaret volunteered to make chicken noodle soup and hot chocolate every day for all the kids at the local Elementary School, and always ensured that there was a tasty homemade dinner waiting for the family at the end of the day. Years later she continued to show kindness by making dozens of sandwiches and cinnamon buns (twice weekly) and taking them via bus, to help feed the homeless and those less fortunate. She was always very generous and kind-hearted. At Margaret's request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street, with Deacon Kris Taylor officiating. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at River Park Gardens for their kindness, care and support, especially to her special helper "Don". In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, a donation may be made in Margaret's memory to Siloam Mission, 300 Princess Street or to Faith Lutheran Church.
